Family mourns after Citrus Heights father's body found in river

Officials have recovered the body of a Citrus Heights father who disappeared in the South Yuba River while trying to rescue his daughter from the chilly water. The body of Alexander Alvarez, 34, was found Sunday afternoon, about 200 yards downstream from where he was last seen, the Nevada County Sheriff's Search and Rescue said in a Facebook post. Alvarez was last seen July 13. He jumped into the river near Highway 49 to help his 12-year-old daughter. Get the full story in the video above.
