Our stop takes you to Vizcaya's library. Mr. Deering was an avid reader but the books inside the glass bookcase are indeed false. See where the next "Secret Door" leads you next. ➡️ Deering was quite an avid reader, so it is no surprise that his love for books and his love for mysterious hidden passageways were combined. In his Georgian English, run-of-the-mill 19th century library, one shelf looks deceivingly like the rest, but don't be fooled. The spines of books are mounted behind a glass door, which opens up to reveal a passage leading to another part of the mansion. ➡️ The only thing that gave this hidden marvel away was the door being slightly ajar, upon which a photographer noticed all the books in this case were dummies.
