(28 Mar 1946) Shots of Aircraft Carrier "Midway" (USN) steaming towards North. Escorted by three destroyers. Pipeline past from carrier to destroyer. Fuelling planes on flight deck. Planes covered against frost & cold. Men masked against cold. Hot air is pumped into covered planes to keep motors from freezing. Flight deck has snow swept off by mechanical brush. Props. of planes start & are catapulted off carrier, out of camera. SCU Admiral Cassady looks through field glasses. Planes waved in as they return. Snowball fights by crew.
