Hey guys, DRAMA Joe: Gets out of the car and looks at the building. Breathes out. Ready? Nick: Takes his hand and smiles. Yes. Are you? Joe: Fake smiles. Course. They walk inside. Joes P.O.V We walked in to a room with a desk straight ahead and a long hallway with doors going down the walls behind it. I gulped and stepped closer to the desk with Nick. He start talking to the smiling lady behind the desk, telling her important information and things about us. She thought our situation is cute and after a while of talking to us she said wed be a great adoptive family. I told her if the child was older than theyd be able to under stand our situation more. The lady told us that most of the children have been through pretty tough situations on which put them into the foster home, so they are good at comprehending things. They would need a month all together to get all the paper work done and theyd need to have people come over the house to make sure we live in a proper living environment. They would pick a child and well meet him or her in 2 weeks, make sure they like us and theyd come home with us in a month if everything works out. My heart was racing the whole time. I cant believe what itll be like having a child. We walked out and got back in the car. I hadnt said much the whole time and when we got in the car Nick turned to me. Nick: Are you okay? Joe: Lying. Yea. Starts the car. Nick: Puts his hand on his. Honey, whats wrong? Joe; Sighs. Im just a little nervous. Actually a lot nervous. Nick: Rubs his arm. Why? Joe; Looks at him. What if Im not a good father Nick? What if I screw up this childs life? Nick: Sits on his lap. You wont Joe. You an amazing, incredibly caring man. Theres no way you could do that. Takes his hand. And you have me. We can work out everything together. Smiles. Joe: Smiles. Your right, theres nothing we couldnt do so far. Nick: Smiles. I know. Pauses. I have an idea. In two weeks after we meet em, do you want to set up a room, after we get to know them so we know what their like? Joe; Smiles. Thats a great idea. They drive home. Demi: Sitting on their front porch, tapping her foot furiously. Snaps out of daydreaming when their car pulls into the drive way. Joe; Gets out of the car with Nick and walks up to her. Demi? What are you doing here? Demi: Stands up. Runs up to Joe and hugs him, crying into his shoulder. Joe: Whoa, Demi, whats wrong? I promise everything will be okay with Miley-- Demi: No! Thats not it! I-I need to tell you guys something. Joe: Okay, come inside Dems. Takes her hand and looks at Nick worried. Nick: Shrugs and walks inside with them. Joe: Sits down with Demi on his lap. Whats wrong? Demi: I-I had my first time with Ben. Nick: And you didnt like it? Demi: Sniffles. No it was great. Its just,,, Joe: Just what? Demi: I-Im pregnant. Joe+Nick: Jaw drops. Joe: Your what?! Demi: I-I thought he used protection. Joe; Hugs her. Dont worry Dems its gonna be okay. Demi: You dont under stand, me and Ben havent been doing so well so to make it better I thought wed,,, you know and Sighs. I dont know. Joe; Dont worry honey, well help you get through this. Nick: And Ben is lucky to have you, I know youll get through this. Demi: Thanks guys, Im so lucky to have friends like you. Joe: Smiles. Ill get us something to eat. Your gonna start getting chubby. Demi: Laughs. Joe; Takes Nicks hand and walks into the kitchen to get something to eat. Demi: Feels her pocket vibrate, looks at her phone and smiles when she sees Bens name.
