Falafel Recipe | Monsoon Snack | फलाफेल रेसिपी Falafel is a traditional Middle Eastern food,made with chickpeas(white chana)and is popular among vegetarians world-wide.It is high in many micro nutrients and is a good source of fiber and protein which makes it a popular snack globally. Do give this recipe a try :) Ingredients - 1 cup chickpeas (white chana)(soaked overnight) 1 cup coriander leaves (cilantro) 1 cup onion(roughly chopped) 2 green chillies 7-8 garlic cloves 1 tsp ginger (roughly chopped) 1 tsp jeera(cumin seeds) 1 tsp coriander powder 1 tsp garam masala Salt as per taste 1 tbsp lemon juice 1 cup besan (as per requirement) 4 tsp rice flour 1/2 tsp baking powder Points to remember : 1. Use the overnight soaked chickpeas (white chana) without any water. Do not boil/ pressure cook them. You can also soak them for 6-8 hours. 2. Add a little water only if required to grind the mixture properly. 3. Add besan as per the mixture's consistency. If you require more then add more and if less then add less. 4. Make sure the mixture is semi coarse and not sticky. 5. Fry the falafel on medium heat only in order to cook them properly.
