(Los Angeles) - Hit-and-run victim Damian Kevitt is finally back on his bicycle and legislation from Assemblyman Mike Gatto (D-Los Angeles) to automatically suspend the drivers license of hit-and-run drivers is moving forward at the State Capitol. Assemblyman Gatto says his Assembly Bill 1532 would expand hit-and-run penalties to include automatic license suspension for motorists who flee the scene of any accident involving another person, even if the victim's injuries are minor. Annenberg TV News reporter Julia Deng was on hand for a special event to celebrate Kevitt's return to the streets. She has his story and a look at Gatto's AB 1532 in the report you watch in this Assembly Assets video. http://www.asmdc.org/gatto
