Dr Eddie Bruce-Jones is Executive Dean of the School of Law at Birkbeck, University of London. He is author of Race in the Shadow of Law: State Violence in Contemporary Europe (2017). Dr Lisa Long is a Senior Lecturer in Criminology. She joined Leeds Beckett University in 2015 and has taught on a range of Criminology modules. Dr. des. Vanessa E. Thompson is a postdoctoral researcher in Sociology at the Department of Social Sciences at Goethe University Frankfurt, Germany. Her current project focuses on racial policing in Europe and abolitionist visions and practices.
