Can't Buy Me Love - The Beatles - Full Instrumental Recreation (4K)

How do you follow up "I Want To Hold Your Hand?" THIS is how. This might be one of the more important singles in music history. Lots of bands follow up their first huge hit with a soundalike, or at least something similar. To follow-up "I Want To Hold Your Hand" with a 12-bar blues REALLY took courage. It also set a precedent: this band would NEVER do the same song twice. And what a catchy song! The intro and outro tags were a George Martin contribution, bringing the hook to the top of the song to catch the listener's ear. Other trivia: Lots of interesting stuff going on with George. For one, this is the first time of MANY when George double-tracked his Gretsch to add thickness to the mix. Other examples: Baby's in Black, Words of Love, I Feel Fine (solo), Bad Boy, She's a Woman. It was almost a trademark for a time. Also, a rare Harrison use of the tremolo / whammy bar! Other uses: "I'm Down" and "I'm a Loser." Also, lots of folks believe this is a Tennessean track, but I'm not so sure! Got surprisingly close with the Gent. The Anthology outtake is delightful. Different key and background vocals. Tons of fun. Really love Paul's scatting over the verse.    • Can't Buy Me Love (Take 2 With Solo From T...   NME Concert. Man the guys crushed this song live. I particularly love this performance. George made that Rickenbacker growl.    • The Beatles - Can't Buy Me Love [NME Poll-...   Ringo's snare work. I have a slightly different take on Ringo's drumming during the intro and outro than most covers. Ringo used the floor tom for live performances, but if you listen closely to the record, there's some interesting snare work happening in the mix. I'm not 1000% sure that I'm playing exactly what's on the record, but it sounds pretty close to me. There was an incredibly minor and quick editing error (a slight overlap between transitions), but it would've driven me crazy not to fix it.
