Car Hits Utility Pole in East Brainerd

A car in East Brainerd crashes into a power pole, knocking out electricity for a an hour or so to a childcare center and about a dozen homes. A man was driving this cadillac S-U-V on Gray Drive, just off East Brainered road, when he says a car pulled out in front of him. The driver tells our crew at the scene that he swered to avoid the car near the Childcare Network. The S-U-V went into the ditch and hit the power pole, snapping it in half. Several people came to help the man and his two kids inside the car. The driver and both children are okay. It took E-P-B crews several hours to get power turned back on for the business and homes.
