The most hours I've ever spent on a video. I'm almost sad that it's finished LOL. Back in '08 when I made my Tagged vids I wanted to give my top 10 favorite fighting game series with the rpg's and mega man games I showed but didnt have enough room, on the flip side glad I didnt since newer gameplays of the series I like have come out since then cough MvC3 cough Even though rpg's will always remain my #1 favorite game genre of all time, fighting games is #2. I dont know anyone whose a video game fan from both genders who doesnt like fighting games, I mean they combine violence and sex, two of mankind's enjoyables so why wouldnt you? Watching men, women, boys, girls, animals, aliens, androids, angels, demons, catgirls, and squirrelgirls kill each provides much needed entertainment in our lives when shit gets us down, for me they made school suck a lot less. When I wuz small Sundays were the best days becuz after church I would get my friends and cousins over and bust heads till dinner and as the years went by no other genre comes close for parties, conventions, and tournaments even though sports games aren't too far off. Earlier this year Santanastock asked me to make a 30 second beta promo using a New York rapper for his contest based on amvs that uses songs from NY rappers (which will be out soon) and a few days later I wuz listening to Talib Kweli and Bun B's Strangers and figured since TK's from NY I should use the song from one of my top 10 rappers and instead of anime I decided to use gameplay clips from the BlazBlue series to step out the box. It got good reception here and over a week later I got the most intriguing idea, "Why not use the entire song showing off my favorite 10 fighting game series?". So thank Santanstock for basically giving me the seed to the music idea I needed to come up with the idea to brainstorm this amv/gmv. To everyone who has played Legend Of Legaia yall know that the battle theme for that game is the best battle theme for an rpg rite? So guess what I did LOL? It wuz a bit tough deciding on only 10 but Marvel Vs. Capcom, Dead Or Alive, Mortal Kombat, Soul Calibur, BlazBlue, Tekken, King Of Fighters, Guilty Gear, Smash Bros, and Street Fighter are the top 10 fighting game series this nigga dearly luves the most outta the rest on the planet. The "strangers" of these games if you will are the combatants and they are gonna showcase TK's and BB's verses while kickin each others' asses. At the time I got the idea it became natural that this HAS to be a battle vid and since my good friend BrokenElement89 has been wanting to battle me for over 2 years one-on-one I decided to give him the opportunity with this. His skills are seriously fierce as hell with the action genre so I wanted to see how this vid will do against his, whatever outcome we both had fun editing our vids. Even though I had major fun making this and the nostalgia factor wuz high, I went thru some major shit making this amv. I would say I spent 70% of the 127 hours editing this vid and 30% just finding quality gameplay footages. They are fuckin hard to come by. Over a month after I started editing this I caught a virus on my laptop (this is the #1 reason why I use dvds for amvs) and thank God I saved everything from my entire laptop onto my external hardrive before the damn virus locked me out of using the laptop. I had to reboot my entire laptop and put everything back the way it wuz, that took almost an entire week to do. After that episode I got the remaining gameplay clips I needed from the respected game sites I went to before the virus like GameTrailers and the ones I couldnt find anywhere I had to make my own gameplay clips and record them off my HD. Not to mention hooking up all the clips to be in correct aspect ratios. This is my first time combining anime, video games, and live footages together and I do believe this is the most action packed video I've ever made so to all my fellow fighting game fans I hope you all enjoy this to the highest and much respect to Talib Kweli and DJ Hi-Tek for having the best rap album of 2010, PERSONALLY, to me.
