It's Sunday and it's time to get our hands dirty as we go back into gaming history for another 'Suckerpunch Sunday'! Before Street Fighter II revolutionized arcades and home console video gaming, kids were fine shelling out quarters in 'fighting platform' games like Streets of Rage or Double Dragon. One of the earliest examples of the fighting platform genre was the 1986 Taito game Renegade! I haven't played this in over 30 years, but I figured it was time to bring it out of mothballs to see if I'm still any good at it, and we also talk about why games like this were definitely a product of their time. Be sure to leave a like, subscribe to the channel if you're new and hit the bell to be updated on the newest content every week! Also don't miss our special 'Sports Saturday' and episodes where we go back in time to play classic sports games across the 3rd-6th generations! And if there's a game from the NES, SNES, Sega Master System, Genesis, Neo-Geo, Nintendo 64, PS1 or PS2 that you'd like to see featured on the channel, leave it in the comments below and you may see it in a future video!
