Flames of War Operation Perch Battle Report 2: 3rd Canadian Rifles vs 12th SS Panzer kampfgruppe

7 June, 1944, 3rd Canadian division was one of the first Allied divisions to attain their invasion objectives. Yet the Germans would not sit idle, 12th SS was quick to arrive to attempt to push them back into the sea. This would kick off several bloody days of combat as the 3rd Canadian attempt to push towards the Caen road as part of Operation Perch. We will be playing a series of linked games, using the Axis of Attack campaign found in the D-Day German book.
