1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS for sale at Volo Auto Museum (V19350)

Built in Texas, lived in Alabama. I drove this car on my day off. It performed great! Drove straight, ran strong, shifted easy etc. Very desirable 4-speed with a/c in a black Chevelle! EXTERIOR: It's a looker- slick black with white stripes and polished wheels. It has a very clean, dry body. It is smooth all along the bottoms, no bubbles. The bottom of the fenders and doors are clean. It has the original quarter panels. It has been repainted a tuxedo black and is polished to a smooth glossy finish. The SS stripes are correct. Up front the bumper has been rechromed, headlight bezels and marker lights look new. The emblems, mirrors and handles have been replaced. The back bumper looks like a good original. All the stainless trim around the windows and gutters have been replaced. The windshield is new. It has a new set of brightly polished staggered size Torque Thrust wheels- 17s in front, 18s in back and also much wider. Performance tires, the nubs are still on the tread. INTERIOR: It is in very nice shape. The upholstery, door panels and headliner look new. Down on the floor it has new carpet and there's a Hurst 4-speed shifter for a bench seat. In front of me is the SS instrument panel with new tachometer and speedometer. New mirror and deluxe wheel. The heater controls are updated with the Vintage Air system that has electric slides instead of cables. ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Very spunky 383 stroker motor. On top is an Edelbrock intake with a dual feed Holley carb and a Mallory HEI ignition system. It also has a set of headers. New aluminum water pump, proper shroud and clutch fan keeps it running cool. The alternator is new with a chrome bracket. It was upgraded with a Vintage Air heat and a/c system.
