Kevin and George from the Uncut Sports Show give their 2013 NCAA College Football Week 3 Highlights, which included top ranked Alabama over Johnny Football and Texas A&M, Oregon continuing to impress, Ohio State surviving without Braxton Miller and Michigan sneaking past Akron. 2013 NCAA College Football Week 3 Highlights: Alabama tops Johnny Manziel, Texas A&M- Johnny Manziel again authored moments of offensive brilliance, and Texas A&M again built a surprising first-quarter double-digit lead against the national champions. But Alabama rewrote the rest of the script Saturday, proving to be the more opportunistic, balanced team in a 49-42 victory that earned the No. 1 Crimson Tide a measure of revenge against the sixth-ranked Aggies. 2013 NCAA College Football Week 3 Highlights: Oregon trounces Tennessee- Oregon started slowly in the first quarter. The Ducks still put the game away in the third. After Tennessee jumped out to a 7-0 lead early in the first quarter, Oregon turned on the jets and blew the Vols away, scoring 59 straight points until the Volunteers finally found the end zone again in garbage time. The final damage was 59-14, and the game didn't even seem that close; during the second and third quarters alone, Oregon outscored Tennessee 49-0. Oregon racked up 687 yards against the Vol defense. It's not that Tennessee was even inept; it's just that Oregon is that good. 2013 NCAA College Football Week 3 Highlights: Ohio State is just fine without Braxton Miller- Kenny Guiton waited until his fifth year at Ohio State to get his first start. Two plays into the game, he was already in the Buckeyes' record book. Guiton threw three of his four touchdown passes in the first six minutes, including a school-record 90-yarder to start the onslaught, and No. 4 Ohio State rolled to its 15th straight victory, 52-34 over California on Saturday night 2013 NCAA College Football Week 3 Highlights: Michigan survives scare vs Akron- Michigan fell for the trap on Saturday afternoon, as the Akron Zips gave the Wolverines all they could handle and then some. UM did pull out a 28-24 victory, and a lot of it had to do with the performance of Devin Gardner at quarterback, despite the bevy of mistakes he made. To say it wasn't his best effort would be an understatement. Going 16-of-30 for 248 yards and throwing three interceptions to just two touchdowns will not be enough on most Saturdays. However, the devil is in the details once again, and the details suggest that Devin Gardner and the Michigan Wolverines offense will be just fine going forward.
