#WhatsOneThing: Michelle's Doing Everything She Thought She Never Would

Michelle has always dreamed of two things – acceptance and independence. Along her journey many people have told her that what she wanted was impossible. But today, through Special Olympics and the help of friends and family, Michelle is proudly living on her own and has found a place to belong in Special Olympics. #WhatsOneThing YOU were told you could never do? They won’t. Their dreams are impossible. They know what it feels like to be doubted and discounted. But, they also know what it’s like to overcome -- to stop at nothing less than doing their best and achieving their dreams. Being doubted is a feeling we’ve all experienced. That’s why, in our newest series of videos, we ask six professional and Special Olympics athletes to tell a story about a time in their lives when they were told that they couldn’t, but they didn’t listen and chased their dreams anyway.
