Welcome to our daily encounter with the Word of God! Today we are blessed with profound messages of faith and love through the biblical readings of the day. In our reflection, we will explore the teachings contained in the First Reading (1 John 2:3-11) and in the Gospel of Luke (2:22-35). These readings invite us to reflect on the true knowledge of God that manifests itself through love of neighbor and on the presentation of Jesus in the Temple, a prophetic moment that reveals the light for the nations and the sword that will pierce Mary's heart. Primeira Leitura (1João 2,3-11): In this profound passage from the First Letter of Saint John, the apostle teaches us that knowing God is not merely an intellectual exercise, but an experience that transforms our entire life. John shows us that the true proof that we know God lies in the observance of his commandments, especially the commandment of love. He warns us about those who say they know God but do not live according to his precepts - these live in falsehood. Fraternal love is not just a recommendation, but the essence of the ancient commandment that is constantly renewed in Christ. Those who love their brothers remain in the light and do not stumble, but those who hate live in darkness, walking without direction. This reading challenges us to examine our lives: is our knowledge of God producing fruits of concrete love? Evangelho (Lucas 2,22-35): In the Gospel of Luke, we contemplate the touching moment of Jesus' presentation in the Temple, according to the Law of Moses. Mary and Joseph take the child Jesus to Jerusalem to consecrate him to the Lord, faithfully fulfilling the prescriptions of the Law. At this moment, Simeon, a righteous and devout man who awaited the consolation of Israel, moved by the Holy Spirit, recognizes in the child Jesus the promised Messiah. His prophecy reveals that Jesus is a light to enlighten the nations and the glory of Israel, but also announces that he will be a sign of contradiction and that a sword will pierce Mary's soul. This prophetic encounter shows us that Jesus came for the salvation of all, but his presence demands a decision: he causes the fall and rise of many, revealing the thoughts of hearts. The figure of Simeon teaches us perseverance in hope and the ability to recognize God's presence even in the simplest circumstances. These readings challenge us to live an authentic faith that manifests itself in concrete love for our neighbor and in openness to welcome Christ into our lives, even when this implies contradiction and suffering. May we, like Simeon, recognize the Lord's presence on our path and, like Mary, courageously accept the mission God entrusts to us. 📖 Readings of the Day: First Reading: 1 John 2:3-11 Gospel: Luke 2:22-35 🌟 #BibleReading #DailyReflection #WordOfGod #FraternalLove #KnowledgeOfGod #PresentationOfJesus #SimeonsProphecy #LightOfNations #FaithAndLove #bibliacatolica Bible Reading, Daily Reflection, Fraternal Love, Knowledge of God, Commandments, Presentation of Jesus, Simeon, Light of Nations, Prophecy, Mary, Word of God, Faith and Love Become a member of this channel and get benefits: / @bibliacatolica Follow us also: TikTok: / bibliacatolicaonline Instagram: / bibliacatolica Telegram: https://t.me/bibliacatolicaonline Twitter: / bibliacatolica Facebook: https://fb.me/bibliacatolicaonline/ Pinterest: / bibliacatolica
