And I am scheduled to have my Rhinoplasty tomorrow, which is really exciting, but kind of nervous at the same time. So, that's with Dr. Silva tomorrow. And basically I just wanted to go through what I have felt, and experienced so far, who I have seen, what they have given me all that type of stuff. Just to give you an idea. So, I met Dr. De Silva twice previously to this operation. So, once the consultation, and once the preop assessment, which I think everyone has. So yeah, he just basically explained all the risks that were involved in any kind of surgery really. And mostly went through what I wanted to have done, what I was expecting, what was realistic. Because I know some patients do expect miracle things that aren't really possible. So I explained what I was bothering me, and that's mostly the tip of my nose right there. I am not really fussed about the bridge or anything, so it was mostly the tip. And he once kind of looking over it, he suggested that if I want that bit to be shrunk, I will have to have little bits like that, and that shrunk very, very, like slightly, just so it all kind of harmoniously went with my face. So I had a good talk about that. Went over my medical history. His surgery manager I saw first, but she just kind of went over why I felt now was the right time. Was it through bulling, did I have support from family members having it done. Kind of jumbled questions, and roughly ran over my medical history once again. So, um, yeah I had a talk with Dr. De Silva, went over everything. He took some pictures of me to use as examples for kind of before and after pictures using the software they have on their computer, which very much gives a rough example of what you are going to expect. So it kind of shrinks and stretches the images to what you want. So that gave me an idea just to make sure we are both on the right lines of what we are thinking. I did bring some examples and pictures just to make it easier, because I wasn't sure if I had explained it properly. So, I think we both had a very good idea of what I was looking for. Then he showed me some kind of before and after pictures of patients he had done previously, which was nice because one of the patients was very much how I feel I am. So, it was mostly a tip that she was bothered by. The after picture was very much what I was looking for as a result. So it was nice to know that it actually been done before, and it was a realistic expectation of mine. So that was all lovely, great. And then he did a quick examination of the outside, and the inside of my nose. I am assuming more for his benefit than mine. But more kind of he looked at my septum. I apparently have a wonky septum on the inside, which I didn't know. I think it is mostly just to check your breathing on either side. So, if there is one side that's like more difficult to breathe through, then he can correct that in surgery. So, he very much goes over everything that you might want. So he is very thorough. So, yeah we did that and that was the consultation. At the end of the consultation you will receive one of these things, which is a little pack that you can take home. And it is pretty much goes through like kind of the history of the surgery, and Dr. De Silva what he has been doing. What qualification he has got. Kind of just information about what to avoid before the surgery. How to look after yourself after the surgery, bits like that. And as well as you will get a little piece of paper that is called Informed Consent Rhinoplasty Surgery, which basically I think is just information. And you just sign your initials at the bottom, and you give it to them either then or at the preop assessment, which I did. Yeah it pretty much says to you like the introduction of rhinoplasty. All the different risks that kind of involve which rarely happen, but they have to say anyway, just so if you have any questions.
