First Sunday of Advent – November 30, 2025 Faith Lutheran Church, Johns Island, SC 📅 Sunday, November 30, 2025 ⏰ Livestream begins at 11:00 AM EST On the First Sunday of Advent, we hear a wake‑up call: “Keep awake, for you do not know on what day your Lord is coming.” In Isaiah’s vision of nations streaming to the mountain of the Lord and Paul’s call to “wake from sleep” and “put on the armor of light,” we are invited to live as people of hope, peace, and expectation. Through word, song, and Holy Communion, we watch and wait for Christ who comes among us now and who will come again. This week’s readings help us take stock of what matters most and turn our hearts toward God’s promised future, where swords become plowshares and night gives way to dawn.
