Tracking the tropics: Lisa nears Belize, Martin strengthens to a Category 1 hurricane

Even though the calendar has flipped over to the last month of the hurricane season, the Atlantic remains busy. Lisa strengthened into a hurricane Wednesday morning in the western Caribbean. Now, just hours later, Martin has officially upgraded to a Category 1 hurricane – the seventh hurricane of the 2022 Atlantic season.
