Pope calls for peace at the Western Wall in Israel

On the second day in Israel, the Pope visited the Western Wall, holy site of the Jewish faith, and placed a written prayer in the wall, a customary act done by pilgrims who visit it. According to a statement released by the Vatican, this is the text: "God of all the ages, on my visit to Jerusalem, the "City of Peace", spiritual home to Jews, Christians and Muslims alike, I bring before you the joys, the hopes and the aspirations, the trials, the suffering and the pain of all your people throughout the world.
