Cancer Care During COVID-19 at the Abramson Cancer Center

At Penn Medicine's Abramson Cancer Center, our #1 priority is providing cancer patients with the high-quality care they need, when they need it, in the safest way possible. When faced with the COVID-19 pandemic, we transformed the way we provide care at the Abramson Cancer Center. In this video, our leadership team takes you on a visual tour of the new safety protocols to protect our patients and staff. We believe that cancer treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation and surgery, should continue. We’ve implemented new safety protocols in all of our locations to maximize safety and protect patients and staff. We have processes, supplies and areas of our facility that are designed to prevent the spread of the virus to patients and staff. In addition, we established the ability to perform many new patient and follow-up appointments virtually through telemedicine to ensure the safest access to providers and to limit the amount of people in our locations.
