This is a tribute to the Fox musical, "Sweet Rosie O'Grady" (1943). This was one of Betty Grable's personal favorites of her films (the other being 1947's "Mother Wore Tights") and it's easy to see why. She is breathtakingly beautiful and exquisitely photographed in Technicolor. The film itself is a musical remake of the earlier Fox film, "Love Is News" (1937). On loan from MGM, this was a rare musical part for Robert Young (who even sings the title tune at one point) and he is charming. The supporting cast included Adolphe Menjou, Virginia Grey, and Reginald Gardner. The title song is performed here by The Shannon Quartet, recorded in 1926. Enjoy!
