Charlie Gillett Plays "Wave A White Flag" (Elvis Costello) 1970's

This is part 1 of 2 live recordings I did back in the 1970s of Charlie Gillett's "Honky Tonk" Show on BBC's Radio London station. I'm not sure of the actual year but it would be somewhere around 1974-76. One thing about Charlie, although his early shows had technical glitches (usually down to Charlie) and this clip contains one, it made the show as you felt part of it. In this clip he mentions a demo tape he'd received from a D.P Costello to play on his show and the "D.P" later became the famous Elivis Costello and the track was later released on the "My Aim Is True - Bonus Track" album. Hope you enjoy the early demo tape from Elvis...it was recorded in his bedroom! In Part 2 Charlie plays Costello's "Cheap Reward" which had a working title of "Lip Service" but is not the same song that was released as "Lip Service" on the "This Year's Model" album.
