Tesla Model 3 Manual Charge Port Release – Remove a frozen or stuck charging cable

If your Model 3 charge port lock fails to release or gets stuck, or the charge cable gets stuck in the car or in the port, you can manually release the lock by following this quick and simple tutorial. I will also make a video for the Tesla Model X and Tesla Model S and put them in this same tips and tricks playlist. There is a vent in the trunk near the charging port, one of the vents is bigger than the others, this is where you’ll find the release. Feel around for the pull cable, pulling this will manually pull the locking pin to the open position. If the car thinks the port should be locked, it will keep trying to lock it so be ready for the cable to jerk back in your fingers. While you have the lock pulled down you can then remove the cable from the car. This manual override to the Model 3 lock pin could come in handy so feel free to bookmark this or add it to one of your playlists. • Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/KaceyGreen/join • Subscribe to our channel: http://bit.ly/2Xce0JG • Gear we use: we do use affiliate links that do pay us a small referral fee to help support the channel, if you buy, at no extra cost to you, some come with extra discounts or other perks. o Amazon Store: https://www.amazon.com/shop/kaceygreen o Other Gear: https://kaceygreen.com/gear • Become a Patron:   / kaceygreen   • Buy our merch: https://teespring.com/stores/kacey-gr... • Don’t click this: http://bit.ly/2SedNai The Tesla Referral program is back!
