SALCC Shines a Light World Suicide Prevention Day

The counselors at Sir Authur Lew Community College have come together to give some insight on dealing with mental health to combat suicide. The Counselling and Support Unit at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College will join the global effort to raise awareness of suicide and suicide prevention. “Be the Light” is the theme chosen by the College in recognition of World Suicide Prevention Day on Friday, September 10, 2021. According to PAHO, “The theme of World Suicide Prevention Day 2021, “Creating hope through action,” reflects the need for collective, action to address this urgent public health issue.
