MudFish - https://mudfish.net/download (VPN) 😸 Additional Guide 😸 ~ YOU NEED TO RUN THE PATCHER USING WINDOWS PC FIRST! Download and install client from IRO WIKI, then patch it NORMALLY, after that patch it with IRO WIKI PATCHER (not the warportal one). Check whether the game can run on windows first. If no problem then you can copy the folder to your Bottles directory (Click 3 dot and then Browse Files) ~ Make sure to setup wine prefix (install winetrick and it will generate wine prefix folder by default) after run and setup Bottles for the first time, the wine prefix folder will be generate after first run ~ Change wine version and see which one is stable for ur OS (mine is System 10.0 (aka winetrick) and find it is much more stable) ~ Switch between GPU to see which one does not hang ur game, mine choose integrated (uncheck dedicated graphics in bottles) ~ Fix EAC issue [29 October 2025] //open terminal and type sudo nano /etc/hosts //copy and paste 0.0.0.0 modules-cdn.eac-prod.on.epicgames.com 127.0.0.1 modules-cdn.eac-prod.on.epicgames.com //save settings ctrl x y enter //restart network sudo systemctl restart NetworkManager ~Macro - Input-Keymapper macro example - https://github.com/sezanzeb/input-rem... follow ro guideline - https://forums.warpportal.com/index.p... rules-and-guidelines/ (do not automate gameplay) ~VPN - MudFish goto and download https://mudfish.net/download sudo sh mudfish-5.17.15-linux-x86_64.sh run mudfish register/login select item choose Ragnarok Online select destination LA (los angelos) save payment (pay per usage) find shortest route (click the wand icon) connect 😼 UPDATE 😼 ~ 01 August 2025 - Sometime the system hang when you switch windows, the reason maybe due to dedicated gpu and integrated gpu in laptop, to resolve it use the integrated gpu as it is not prone to disconnect that is happen in dedicated gpu. Also beware that when you switch OS, it can sometime reset the settings ~ 04 September 2025 - You cannot go pass EAC - solution: disable internet temporary after patching then when enter ro enable back internet ~ 29 October 2025 - Renew Guide to run Ragnarok Online (IRO Chaos) on Linux with EAC fixes !!! 09/11/2025 - Recently iRO update the server configuration, that it took account on TCP Timeout, which means to connect to iRO server, it need to be within the timeframe of the connection else get a TCP Retransmission error. Unfortunately, this will result in longer loading from login to map server and from map to map portal. In conclusion, I will mark this project as BONK. Will see if there any improvement in the future for playing iRO on linux. 🙀 WARNING 🙀 ~This client only tested on Linux Mint (OS) , other variant of Linux might varies depend on the wine library install on its OSes. I try on Ubuntu before and it works as well too. I have no idea on how it work on Wayland. ~I am not responsible for any damage / issues that happen to your PC when you do the following method.
