A Kentucky county clerk, Kim Davis, was caught on film for the second time refusing a marriage license to a same-sex couple yesterday (September 1) after the US Supreme Court ruled she must issue the documents. When questioned as to what gave her the authority to do so she answered that she was acting under "God's Authority". A federal court has ordered the clerk to be present in court once again on September 3 to explain why she should not be held in contempt of court. Her deputies are to appear too.
