After weeks of intense negotiations and the threat of military action, the UN has finally agreed on a resolution to destroy Syria's chemical weapons. The 15-member Security Council voted unanimously on the deal put forward by the US and Russia. It is a significant step forward in international diplomacy to deal with the two and a half-year war which has left more than 100 thousand people dead.
