Carl Czerny: Etude in C Major Op 718, No 7 Clark Bryan, piano In my journey to record the new RCM piano series for students and teachers upon request, I finished grade five today! May gems and some pieces more for "study". Czerny wrote an incredible amount of etudes for the piano. He was a student of Beethoven's at Beethoven's request. For many, these etudes have gone out of fashion...but I think they still can serve some good foundational training (perhaps in moderation)....and they are not easy! I had to play hundreds of these in my youth!
