Fareed Zakaria's far too timid questions about Afghanistan

CNN's Fareed Zakaria, arguably their most left-leaning host, takes up the issue of CIA Chief Leon Panetta's statement that there are probably only 100 al-Qaeda members in Afghanistan. After such a shocking revelation, Zakaria does question proportionality in terms of the US led invasion but he completely avoids subjects like imperial overstretch, occupation, making-enemies-faster-than-we-can-kill-them and blowback in what turns out to be an odd little screed about Afghan corruption and the cost of war.
