Chapter 3 Hannah was already anxious to get back to our spots in line so I motioned for alli that we should go. She said she wanted to stay a bit longer as she started adjusting her pin straight brown hair that looked perfect anyways. Knowing we couldn't convince her, Hannah and I took off to find our spot in line again. By this point it was 12 and the signing didn't start for another 4 hours but the line was already full and started spiraling up the stairs and around the second level. When we got back to our spots and interviewer was talking to the girls behind us and when she was done, turned to talk to us. It was simple questions like "why do you love One Direction so much?" and "who is your favourite?". She didn't ask anything interesting, or more importantly, something that could get us noticed. After she left I lay down with my bag as a pillow and decided to take a quick nap. When I woke up it was already 3:30 and Alli has been back for hours. "It's about time!" she said "the signing starts in 30 minutes!" I sat up, immediately wide awake and the three of us let out a serious of high pitched shrieks and giggles. About ten minutes before the boys were set to come out everyone in line started standing up and squishing forwards. "Brilliant" I muttered as I picked up my bag and started moving forwards. It was progressively getting hotter with less and less room. Finally after what seemed like an hour of waiting the whole mall erupted in screaming. I stood up straight and thankfully because of my height I had a fairly good view. First out we're Harry and liam. Then zayn, then Louis, then Niall. When he walked out my heart almost stopped. He walked up on stage in a white polo and a navy cardigan. His blond hair spiked up but he still looked so natural and effortless. I couldn't even scream. I was in complete shock that they were so close. All I could think was that I was in the same room as one direction. The same boys I had watched make video diaries on the bottom of the stairs. The same boys I watched make their acceptance speeches as the Brit awards. The same boys I had let take over my life in the past year. Once the boys sat down I couldn't see them anymore. For the next 20 minutes I was pushed and shoved, back and forth until finally there was open space in front of me. I want to rush forwards to catch my breath but a security guards burly arm stopped me. "Wait your turn" he said gruffly. I looked up realizing I was in the front of the line. Next thing I knew I was being rushed to the table and I was standing there in front of Harry, completely stunned. "Umm hey Harry, nice curls" I managed to force out before I moved on to Liam. It wasn't what I had planned on saying but Harry said thanks and smiled so it couldn't have been too bad. "Hi Liam!" I said far too fast. "Have you ever used a spork?" oh no. I can't believe I actually thought that was a clever question. He told me no and even laughed a bit. "Zayn can I see your tattoos?!" I asked with a little too much enthusiasm. He held up his arms so I could see two but told me he wasn't going to take off his shirt. Next thing I knew, I was in front of Louis but I couldn't help glancing at Niall. I quickly snapped my gaze back to Louis and was barely able to squeak out my appreciation for carrots before I was pushed in front of Niall. I stood there for what seemed like ages trying to remember what to say. He looked up and me and smiled reassuringly but that just made me even more nervous. "I know all the best restaurants in Vancouver. Give me a call" I said and smiled as I pushed my number on a tiny slip of paper across the table. He smiled and grabbed the paper but I couldn't tell if he put it in his pockets or his pile of gifts. ----------------------------- So do you guys think he kept the number? ;)
