Smithereens' Memorial Day BBQ/Concert 2011: In Which Ariel Sings for Pat Dinizio

Totally Impromptu, totally unrehearsed. How cool is that for your favorite 16-year-old? [Thanks Pat & Dave!!!] Once again we attended Pat Dinizio's Annual Smithereens' Memorial Day Picnic & Concert! In which Smithereens supporters, friends & extended family travel from all parts of the USA to attend this yearly event. As always, the Concert/Picnic took place in Pat's backyard in Scotch Plains, New Jersey. This year featured a great set by rock legends THE SMITHEREENS, an "unplugged" acoustic solo set from Pat DiNizio, a great set of all-Beatles material by Pat's Beatles Tribute Band THE SCOTCH PLAINSMEN, as well as some "very special surprise guests". Little did we know Ariel would be one of them. Pat (knowing she sings) asked her to do a couple of Beatles tunes with Pat's fellow Scotch Plainsman Dave on keyboards.
