Ranunculus assistance: picking what size to make
Some musings on picking a size of the Ranunculus, since I am asked this question weekly. Midori, the pattern writer, has left it open-ended on purpose, so I'm sharing some of what I and others have found helpful in picking a size. When if comes time to block my lace weight Ranunculus I may make a video on that, we shall see! Sun Dragon had a knit-a-long in April 2022 for the Ranunculus sweater by Midori Hirose, and I made some videos that can assist the pattern. We love this pattern in the shop because it is so customizable, you can make it on any yarn from a lace weight to worsted weight, can alter the neckline, sleeve length, and torso length, and since it's designed to have enormous positive ease, you can do all of it on a size 10 needle, often without testing your gauge. I'll be doing my best to build a playlist of videos that I've already make that could be helpful as well.
