This is my Documentary Project from Film Insitute made between October 2019 and February 2020. The purpose of it was to visit a designated place, find out an interesting topic and then create a documentary around it. It is undoubtedly an under rated form in film. We got to shoot in Bhandardara, a beautiful valley in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra. “It is a film that introduces us to Kambad – the tribal dance form of Thakar community. With the infilterating westernization in the tribal areas, such culturally rich art forms are prone to change over time. There is no question about the uncertain future of Kambad, but a fair emphasis must be laid on this evolving and diminishing art form.” I am Dhanesh, a Film Editor from FTII-Pune (Film and Television Institute of India).
