What's Up, Doc? - Colorectal Cancer Awareness by Dr Jonathan Foo

Get insights into everything you need to know about the symptoms of colorectal cancer, screening methods as well as treatment options with Senior Consultant General Surgeon and Colorectal Surgeon, Dr Jonathan Foo in honour of Colorectal Cancer Awareness month. During this segment, you will also hear from Colorectal Cancer survivor, Mr Ellil Mathiyan Lakshmanan as he shares his inspiring journey to recovery. About The Speakers Dr Jonathan is a Senior Consultant and Colorectal Surgeon at FeM Surgery. His surgical expertise covers various General and Colorectal conditions, particularly with cancer and benign diseases of the colon and rectum. He excels at advanced endoscopic, open and minimally invasive (“key-hole”) techniques, as well as robotic surgery. In 2011, Mr Ellil was diagnosed with both Rectal and Testicular Cancer. He underwent 28 cycles of Radiation Therapy and 8 cycles of Chemotherapy as adjuvant treatment after surgery. He is now living with a permanent colostomy. Yet, nothing can stop this bright spark.
