Tehelka Magazine Founder Tarun Tejpal Acquitted in Rape Case by Goa Court

A Goa court has acquitted Tehelka founder and journalist Tarun Tejpal of rape charges. Tejpal was accused of sexually assaulting a colleague in Goa in November 2013. Tarun Tejpal's daughter read out a statement on her father's behalf, calling the allegations false. In 2013, a junior colleague of Tejpal accused him of sexual assault on the sidelines of an event for Tehelka held in Goa. The sexual assault allegations came out after a series of emails by the woman were leaked.
