I'm a guitar building beginner and I have been following The Great Guitar Build Off competition 2020. I learned a lot from the competitors and that inspired me greatly to build a guitar myself. I have bought a neck from GuitarAnatomy.com and the body is built of old pine wood floor boards from a house built in 1808. Why is that a good thing? Because old wood is cool ... and also more resonant. The point is to learn how to build great guitars. It can't be rocket science, but it's fascinating.
