Crisis-hit Pakistan has fallen to a new economic low that it had not seen in last 60 years. It is now worse off than bankrupt Sri Lanka. Experts have warned that millions of citizens would fall below the poverty line in crisis hit nation. Pakistan has outpaced Sri Lanka in another grim record. Pakistan’s currency is tumbling and food and energy prices are skyrocketing. The prices have touched the highest figures in nearly sixty years. All this is while its going through political instability as well. The Pakistani rupee is one of the worst performing currencies globally so far in 2023, declining 20% to the dollar, and making imported goods more expensive.
