Loyal viewer Penny Sue won the naming contest on October 7, and chose ANGEL to be her name. We were on our way home from work late on September 26, and saw Angel sitting in the middle of a street in Ontario, Oregon. She didn't run or act scared as we stopped the truck right in front of her and David got out to pick her up. She immediately started purring and biscuiting, so we knew she wasn't born feral. We suspect she was dumped. We called our local rescue organization, the Ontario Feral Cat Program, and their shelter is full, so they asked us to foster Little One. OFCP arranged for a vet check-up and gave us some initial food for her. She weighed 3 pounds and was approximately 2-3 months old. At the vet, she was treated for fleas, intestinal worms, and ear mites. She is receiving antibiotics for a mild Upper Respiratory Infection, and has a form of feline herpes virus which has run its course and be gone. We foster for the Ontario Feral Cat Project in Ontario, Oregon. We do not have space for a dedicated kitten room, so we have set up a large cage on the back table of my quilt store. It's not ideal for long-term fostering, so we are only a short-term foster until the Ontario Feral Cat Project can come up with a better situation for any kitties we might be fostering. The Ontario Feral Cat Project is a non-profit organization operated by donations and volunteers. The program is designed to reduce our community’s feral and stray cat overpopulation by using a technique of trap, neuter and return (TNR) to existing monitored colonies. Although not part of our core mission, we also try to find good, loving homes for adoptable cats and kittens. We serve Ontario, Oregon. The Ontario Feral Cat Project operates entirely off of grants and donations. Without supporters like you we would not be able to function. We are a 501(c)3 charity, #27-2595437, so all donations are tax deductible. Chat Rules & Explanations: https://goo.gl/p2XaAg RULES: Don't curse, don't ask for subscriptions, don't spam, enjoy the kittens, have a nice day. Typing in ALL CAPS is frowned upon, it is used for CC'ing visitors for the hard of hearing. Harassing a moderator in chat is grounds for a timeout or ban at the moderators discretion. Harassing a moderator outside of chat is grounds for banning and the sharing of your info to other cams for them to ban you as well. Be advised that this is REAL LIFE, uncensored. You will experience most of the fostering experience which will include sick kittens. And poop. Seriously, kittens can produce an amazing amount of poop! Hopefully, it'll be in the litter box. Concerning Trolls: Ignore them. That's what they hate the most. Their goal is to upset you so you yell at them. They think this is funny. Do nothing to acknowledge their existence.
