Science Explains How Your Eggs' DNA is Not Your DNA - Week 2

Ever wonder how your eggs were made? At 20 weeks old, while you were still developing in your mother's womb, all of your eggs were formed. As a female, you were literally born with all of the eggs you'd have for the rest of your life! It all happens with a process called Meiosis---but does that long and tedious process from High School still have you scratching your head? Let's break it down. Each egg in your ovaries is a cell that contains half of the DNA required to make a human being -- but the egg's DNA is VERY special in that is COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from the DNA in the rest of the cells throughout your body! Your egg's DNA is a blended mixture of your PARENTS' DNA (not a remixing of your own DNA -- a common misconception!) Likewise, your partner's sperm DNA is a mixture of his PARENTS' DNA --- crazy! That means when your egg and his sperm combine, your developing human is uniquely and genetically different than YOURS or your partner's DNA! Talk about the one and only original YOU! :) 0:00 Introduction 1:56 How Your Egg DNA is not Your DNA 3:02 How Your Egg DNA is Made While You're in Your Mother's Ovaries 6:58 The Grad Revelation About Your Egg DNA 🔔 SUBSCRIBE for more free education 🔔 ---------------------------------------------------------------- https://www.youtube.com/c/Duckonta?su... ---------------------------------------------------------------- 🦆 JOIN THE FLOCK 🦆 ---------------------------------------------------------------- • Facebook:   / duckonta   • Patreon:   / duckonta   ---------------------------------------------------------------- 💼 BUSINESS INQUIRIES 💼 ---------------------------------------------------------------- [email protected] ---------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for watching!
