Tejas MK1 delivery update: 3 more LCA Tejas to be delivered soon

In our last video we have shown you the 14 Light Combat Aircraft TEJAS of IOC and FOC versions flown in Trishul formation somewhere in the southern skies. It shows the operational readiness of the fighter jet. Now, there some updates related to Tejas MK1 deliveries but before that we will quickly recap the Tejas MK1 orders and their strength at present. HAL & Indian Air force has singed deal for the 40 Tejas MK1 which includes 8 LCA Trainer as well. Out of 32 Tejas MK1, 22 has already been delivered to Indian Air force. Indian Air force has Two Squadrons of LCA Tejas MK1. The first one is called Flying Daggers which has 16 Tejas of Initial Operational Clearance variant from LA-5001 to LA-5016. The second squadron is called Flying Bullets which are operating 06 Tejas of Final Operational Clearance variant from LA-5017 to LA-5022. So, these are our existing Tejas MK1 fighter jets. Now, the news is that The 23rd Tejas LA-5023 has been manufactured is expected to take its First flight by this month end. The picture which you are seeing right now is our 23rd Tejas MK1. The another 2 of them is also near its completion. As per the previous contract HAL has to deliver 10 more Tejas MK1 fighter jets after which it will start working on the LCA trainer jets. HAL has to deliver 8 trainer jets as part of previous contracts and 10 more as per part of the deal signed this year which includes 73 Tejas MK1A fighter jets apart from the trainer.
