Free Matthew Rushin

Matthew Rushin is a gifted individual who loves life, music, and most of all, his family and friends. Matthew also happens to be autistic. In 2017 he was in a car accident that hospitalized him leaving with a traumatic brain injury and a pituitary cyst. In spite of his injury and the inhibition of being autistic, Mattew continued to excel in his music, poetry and spread love to all his friends and family. Nothing could hold Matthew back. But one rainy night on January 4th, 2019 changed lives forever. Matthew was involved in a vehicle accident that would potentially put Matthew behind bars for 50 years. This is his story told by his mom, Lavern Rushin accompanied by her daughter and Matthew's sister Briauana Rushin. Dominique Wilkins and Lloyd Pierce from the Atlanta Hawks discuss the story with Lavern and Briauna and are actively doing everything they can to help with Matthew's case.
