Nicola Sturgeon imposes Scotland travel ban as new Covid strain has cases rising

Nicola Sturgeon has imposed stricter restrictions including a travel ban for people leaving and entering Scotland during the festive period as a new strain of Covid-19 has led to rapidly increasing cases in the south of England. Sturgeon said Christmas Day mixing would still be allowed in Scotland only if essential, but new measures were imposed as a preventative measure.
