•Tropical Storm Hermine is intensifying in the eastern Gulf of Mexico this afternoon. Maximum sustained winds are around 65mph, and the system is moving NNE at around 10mph. •On this track, Hermine will likely make landfall along the north Florida Gulf Coast between Apalachicola and St. Marks around 12-2am tonight as a minimal category 1 hurricane. •There are three main impacts from Hermine: Rainfall of 5-10" from north Florida and extending into the eastern mid-Atlantic over the weekend; significant storm surge of 3-6' or more from Apalachee Bay east to Cedar Key along the Florida Gulf Coast; and strong tropical storm force winds and gusts that will extend well inland over north Florida in the overnight hours. •Hermine will likely end Florida's 11-year hurricane landfall drought tonight, and all storm preparations should be completed this afternoon.
