'Time Out' was the first jazz album I was given as a teenager (by my father), featuring the iconic tune 'Take Five.' 'Blue Rondo a la Turk' is also a personal favorite that I've been playing for many years, although I've never transcribed Paul Desmond's solo. So, I've decided to undertake it now, hoping to glean insights from his remarkable playing. I was able to remove Desmond's track so I could play it with the recording without Desmond in the background. Normally, I don't write the transcriptions out but since I didn't have it completely memorized, I wrote some of the lines down which is why I turn to the music stand for some of it.
