HQ Salsa III is a beautiful beginner kite with impressive pull for its size. With mods and upgrades it can do quite a lot of tricks. I changed the geometry, the bridle, the connectors, the Spine and Lower Spreaders (to 6mm Structil), added tail weight, sewed the air pockets,..,... At the begging I'm flying with the original top spreader and stand-offs (good for turbulent strong wind) but from the part with backspins switched to carbon Top spreader and longer carbon stand-offs. I don't recommend you to fly this kite with the original settings!!! Specially in low wind. The air pockets on the wing tip make the kite stall during turns/loops (specially on down turns). If there is not enough pressure on the sail the kite is difficult to control (I hit the ground many times!), super wide turns, very unusual feeling and you can't avoid to hit the ground if the wind stops during down turn. If you have Salsa 3 you can use some tape to close the air-pockets and leave a comment with your results. Fly it only in stable wind (maybe above 12km/h).
