She offers talks throughout the year locally and internationally on a range of topics including spirituality, self-development, seerah, women's issues, family/marriage/parenting, youth issues, social media literacy/safety, and mental health advocacy. She teaches weekly and monthly spiritual development classes (tazkiyyah) for adults and youth for multiple local and international organizations and via social media. She is a mental health advocate and uses both her social media platforms to promote emotional and spiritual well-being, and offers workshops on social-emotional learning for students and educators throughout the year. She’s a wife and mother of two and resides in California with her family. Imam Dawood Yasin is the Director of Student Life and Center for Ethical Living and Learning at Zaytuna College. His field specialties include Arabic, Community Studies, and Ethical Living and Learning. At Zaytuna College, Imam Dawood has taught all levels of Arabic, leads the Experiential Learning Program, and teaches archery. Prior to his post at Zaytuna College, Imam Dawood served as Muslim Life and Service-Learning Coordinator at Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. He previously served as Director of Outreach Affairs at Zayed Center for Islamic Culture in the United Arab Emirates and as an Arabic language teaching assistant at Yale University. Imam Dawood received his BA in Community Studies from University of Massachusetts-Boston in 2009 and his MA in Liberal Studies and Globalization Studies from Dartmouth College in 2017. He studied Islamic at Abu Nour Institute in Damascus, Syria. His MA thesis, titled “The Heart of All Contradictions: Muslim Industrial Meat Production and Its Challenge to the Ethical Practice of Islam,” examines modern Muslim industrial meat production and ritual slaughter, focusing on its legal, moral, ecological, and ethical considerations. Imam Dawood is proficient in Arabic. Imam Dawood joined the faculty of Zaytuna College in Fall 2013. Sister Emira Mustafa is the founder of Craft E Muslims, a business with a mission to creatively connect the heart and mind through fun innovative methods. She has published two workbooks available on Amazon titled “Islamic Themed Fall Festival Activity Kit” and “Practically Preparing for Ramadan”.
