Elle Fanning's Predator: Badlands Character Confirms Continuing Franchise Crossover!#ellefanning

#eggheadsent #dimitriusschusterkoloamatangi #alienvspredator #predator The trailer for Predator: Badlands confirms the franchise's long-running crossover is still very much canon. As seen in the official teaser trailer for Predator: Badlands, Elle Fanning's incoming character is far more than meets the eye. During a sequence in which Fanning's Thia is strung up alongside other victims, her eyes glaze over with the logo of Weyland-Yutani, a key fixture in the Alien franchise whose presence in Predator: Badlands tacitly confirms the ongoing crossover between the two. Although Weyland-Yutani is not mentioned by name in 1979's Alien, the company's name and logo can be seen on numerous set pieces (written as Weylan-Yutani). The company has come to play a greater and more prominent role as the franchise continued, so much so that it is now quite possibly the most indelible part of the Alien franchise as a whole besides the eponymous Xenomorphs themselves. In the Alien franchise, Weyland-Yutani is responsible for all manner of corporate interests and developments, including the creation of the Synthetic humanoid androids who frequently serve as core cast members in various entries. Predator: Badlands will star Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi as Dek, a young Yautja (or Predator) who is made a pariah of his clan for being born a runt, and who finds an unlikely ally in the form of Fanning's Thia. Although specific story details and plot elements have been kept tightly under wraps, fans can glean plenty about the action and horror to come from Predator: Badlands' recently released teaser trailer. Even apart from Thia's nature as a Synth, the trailer features appearances from a variety of other Yautja, as well as a glimpse into their brutal world and overtly violent customs. Regarding how the film's overarching story came together, Predator: Badlands director Dan Trachtenberg recently noted that he was "very careful [not to] fall into a trap [of] making something more lore-focused than story-focused. “Trachtenberg continued, "I wanted to make [Predator: Badlands] feel genre, feel very specific, and [feel like] an inversion of the [main] premise—now the Predator is on [another] planet, and he’s going to be hunted by things and has to use his guile to [survive]." Predator: Badlands will mark Trachtenberg's third entry in the franchise following 2024's Prey and the upcoming animated anthology feature, Predator: Killer of Killers, both of which were also directed by Trachtenberg. Predator: Badlands will arrive in theaters on November 7. ‪@cbr‬ About us: Egghead News is an entertainment and media channel that reports, speculates and forecasts on a of news from the entertainment genres.
