Türkiye's latest decision on Azerbaijan: The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) issues a statement The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) released a statement regarding the Azerbaijani mandate, stating, "The Turkish soldiers will serve for a period of one year at the joint center to be established with Russia and in the activities to be carried out by this center." The Ministry of National Defense (MSB) reported that a total of 31 operations, 8 of which were large-scale and 23 of which were medium-scale, were conducted in the last month, neutralizing 80 terrorists. According to the Ministry's statement, the Ministry of National Defense Press and Public Relations Officer, Naval Lieutenant Colonel Şebnem Aktop, held an informational meeting. Aktop stated that all units and institutions of the Ministry are making every effort to protect the country's sovereignty and independence, ensure the security of our sacred homeland, the Blue Homeland, the skies, and 83 million citizens, and contribute to regional and world peace. "In the last month, a total of 31 operations, 8 large and 23 medium-sized, have been conducted, and 80 terrorists have been neutralized," Aktop said, adding that the fight against the PKK in northern Iraq was successfully carried out with Operation Claw in the Hakurk and Haftanin regions. Aktop stated that first Operation Claw-Eagle, then Operation Claw-Tiger, brought control over a large area used by terrorists for years in the region, dealing a significant blow to the terrorist organization. He continued: "A total of 348 terrorists have been neutralized in Operation Claw to date. As a result of these operations, the number of terrorists surrendering to security forces and fleeing the organization has increased. Our fight against terrorism will continue resolutely until the last terrorist is neutralized. Aktop noted that technologically advanced physical security systems have been established at the borders to ensure border security and increase the effectiveness of the fight against terrorism. He also noted that effective border security measures are being implemented by continuously improving the capabilities of border forces. Aktop noted that 9,122 individuals attempting to cross the border illegally were apprehended, adding that 46,082 individuals were prevented from crossing the border, and 41 members of a terrorist organization were apprehended.
