Through the Eyes of a Child - I have known far too many people in my young lifetime who have either been on the brink of suicide, or went through with it. This is for those who struggle with depression and/or anxiety and are looking for something to cling to, a new perspective on the world. This is also for those who are simply looking for some inspiration, or just to relax in the atmosphere I can only hope this short film creates. I have struggled with major anxiety accompanied with depression my entire life, so I am no stranger to the struggle, but even with all that baggage I still manage to love life, the world and all the souls within it with all my heart, and this perspective displayed in the film is a major component of my ability to accept myself for who I am and move on with life despite my shortcomings. That was my inspiration for this piece. My belief in God was also a major inspiration, but you don't need to be religious to take something away from this piece, this is for everyone. And I know this film is a bit slow, that was an intentional artistic choice to emulate how time goes by for a child compared to adult life. This was shot almost entirely in the small towns of Hermiston and Stanfield, Oregon.
